Swisscom: Internet and mobile plans at a glance
We have compiled the most important tariff information on Swisscom mobile phone subscriptions and Internet subscriptions. In addition, we provide tips on changing providers and give you the free telephone number from Swisscom customer service.
About Swisscom
Swisscom is the largest mobile communications and Internet provider in Switzerland. In 1997, Swisscom emerged as a public limited company from the state-owned PTT. Swisscom has now been partially privatized. However, the Swiss Confederation still holds a 50.95% majority interest in the company (as at 31.12.2017).
Tariff Swisscom inOne
The inOne tariff group was introduced in 2017. These tariffs are characterized by their great flexibility. Various products from the inOne group, such as mobile Internet, TV offers or fixed-line telephony, can be combined with each other. In addition, a device can be selected from a large number of smartphones, which can be booked as a package in addition to the rate.
The discount of CHF 20 per month is also interesting if a mobile subscription is combined with an Internet subscription.
People under the age of 26 can also save money. For these young people there is the so-called inOne-XTRA tariff, in which CHF 20 per month less than the regular price has to be paid.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have their own tariff group called inOne KMU. In terms of content, the company tariff for mobile subscriptions does not differ from the private customer tariff; however, there are large price differences for the Internet. In addition there is for enterprises the combination tariff inOne KMU office. This includes Internet, service and telephony; Swisscom TV can optionally be booked in addition.

If you also want to get a smartphone at the inOne rate, you usually have to pay an additional one-time fee. The higher the price for the mobile subscription, the lower the additional payment.
Apart from the inOne-mobile-light tariff, all inOne tariffs have a roaming option. Since this is the most expensive service within a subscription, users should consider carefully whether they really need roaming. Those who don’t need roaming should take a closer look at the low light rate.
Those who book the tariffs of Swisscom subsidiary Wingo can also save money. The discounter offers a similar rate to inOne Mobile M, but only charges CHF 55, which is 39% cheaper than Swisscom. What you save in one place can be very expensive in another: a call to Wingo Call Center costs CHF 1.50 per minute, while a call to Swisscom Call Center is free. It’s best to consider beforehand whether you’re more of a call center type or whether you can handle your customer enquiries via e-mail or chat.
Swisscom mobile phone subscriptions – inOne XTRA
Anyone under the age of 26 can choose a suitable tariff from the XTRA group and thus receive a special price from Swisscom. You can choose between XTRA mobile and XTRA home. The discount is generally CHF 20 for inOne-mobile tariffs, whereby there is only a reduction of CHF 4 for the already low priced inOne mobile light. The XTRA-home tariff offers a discount of CHF 10.

Swisscom Internet subscription
With the inOne Internet tariffs, you can choose one of three different Internet speeds: 50 Mbit/s, 200 Mbit/s or 1000 Mbit/s. These are maximum speeds that are not guaranteed. The actual speed achieved depends on various factors such as the number of users at peak times. In order to achieve the maximum speed for both download and upload, a fiber-optic line is required which must be laid all the way to the home.

In the L and M versions, users can download their recordings into the tablet or smartphone app and watch their favorite programme offline – ideal for people who travel a lot.
But non-customers can also use Swisscom TV Air. To do this, however, users must log in using their Facebook access data or their mobile phone number. With this free offer, you have to do without many functions of the paid version and accept advertising.

Internet for SMEs with Swisscom inOne
The inOne Internet tariffs for SMEs are similar to the Internet tariffs for private customers. However, corporate tariffs are much more expensive. Which of the three different KMU tariff stages fits best, depends also on the necessary extent of the technical support. For the KMU tariff Internet S the Kundenservice is attainable from Monday to Friday from 8 – 17 o’clock. With the KMU Internet M, one can take up the Kundenservice Monday to Friday from 8 – 19 o’clock, as well as on Saturday from 8 – 17 o’clock. Entrepreneurs who have booked the Internet L tariff can use the technical support Monday to Saturday from 6 am to 10 pm.

Cancel Swisscom subscription
Before you cancel your Swisscom contract to switch to another provider, or to switch from another provider to Swisscom, you should look for the offer that best suits your needs. The search algorithms on alao.ch can help you. If you like a tariff proposed by alao, you can click through directly to the offer of the respective provider.
To avoid contractual penalties, you should respect the end date of your current contract.
If you want to take your phone number to the new provider, you should not cancel your old contract for the time being. Rather, apply for the number portability via the new provider. This will normally also take care of the cancellation of your old contract.
Often providers also offer an extension bonus if you inform them of your intention to cancel.
If you no longer wish to use a provider, you must cancel your contract in writing.
