When will the iPhone 16 be released? The time has finally come

Apple iPhone 16

Although the iPhone is now in its 16th edition, the release dates have lost none of their excitement. The 16th version was also eagerly awaited by Apple fans. In many cities in Switzerland, long queues formed outside Apple stores on 20 September. This was the date on which the new models were officially unveiled.

However, according to Apple, delivery is not scheduled until October. Would you like to know whether the iPhone 16 is worth it or what the iPhone 16 rumours of the past were all about? Alao gives you an overview of the most important points of the new Apple model.

The iPhone 16 price: The new model is available from CHF 849.-

Most smartphone users are initially interested in the price of the new iPhone and wonder how much the new iPhone will cost.

The iPhone 16 price depends on the model and the storage capacity. It is interesting to note that the most expensive model (iPhone 16 Pro Max with 1 TB of storage) costs almost twice as much as the entry-level iPhone 16 with 128 GB. It is therefore worth comparing the individual models.

Apple has once again remained true to its four-model strategy with the iPhone 16. There is the iPhone 16, the iPhone 16 Plus, the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The prices are as follows:

Pre-sales were rather slow

Apparently, the high prices for the high-end models are a reason for many Apple fans to wait and see. After all, pre-sales for the two high-priced models iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max were rather slow. Compared to last year’s iPhone 15 model, significantly fewer devices were pre-ordered. However, pre-sales for the cheaper models got off to a good start.

Apple promises delivery between 2 and 21 October

The various iPhone 16 models will be delivered at different times. The iPhone and iPhone Plus are to be delivered between 2 and 7 October. The Pro version will be delivered between 7 and 14 October. The Pro Max model will be delivered between 14 and 21 October.

iPhone 16 – the most important changes at a glance

The iPhone 16 is not a real revolution. However, Apple has made a few tweaks here and there. The biggest change is inside the smartphone. It concerns the chip. The A18 chip is a new development. The more powerful A18Pro chip with multiple cores is installed in the Pro models.

The battery life of the iPhone 16 has also been improved once again. WiFi 7 support is also included. The Pro models also have a 5G modem, which has been improved compared to its predecessor.

iPhone 16 design – what’s new?

As far as the iPhone 16 design is concerned, not much has changed compared to last year’s model. Apple has not made any major leaps in terms of appearance. The biggest change is an additional button next to the camera. This additional touch-sensitive button can be used to control the zoom and exposure of the camera. As usual with Apple, the camera is impressive. It is a dual camera with a 48 MP sensor and 2x optical zoom. It also has an optical image stabiliser and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. However, not much has changed in the camera itself compared to the previous model.
What is new, however, is the display protection glass. All models are equipped with Ceramic Shield. This glass is said to be twice as hard as all other glass available on the market. In addition, the smartphones look more modern thanks to the thin display edge and are also available in new colours.

Conclusion: Is it worth pre-ordering the iPhone 16?

The iPhone 16 is not a real game changer. It is more powerful than its predecessors thanks to the new processor. This means that the smartphone really comes into its own when it comes to labour-intensive processes. When it comes to charging technology, however, it lags behind many Android models, especially when it comes to fast charging. If you have an iPhone 15 and are happy with it, it’s not necessarily worth switching. However, if you are an Apple fan who always wants to be at the cutting edge of technology, the iPhone 16 will also bring you joy.
